U.S. MARSHALS MUSEUM Fort Smith, Arkansas
A new national museum will soon grace the Arkansas-Oklahoma border at Fort Smith. The city began as a western frontier military post in 1817 and later become known for its role in the settling of the "Wild West" and its law enforcement heritage. The mission of the U.S. Marshals Museum is to create a national center of heritage and legacy, disseminate knowledge and inspire appreciation for the accomplishments of the U.S. Marshals Service.
