Birdcraft Sanctuary Fairfield, Connecticut
The Birdcraft Sanctuary is the oldest private bird sanctuary in the United States. Sitting on six acres with a pond at its center, the site is a magnet for bird lovers and the local public alike, eager to catch a glimpse of an Ovenbird or a Connecticut Warbler. Birds affect our lives everywhere we turn, and their impact cannot be underestimated. The Connecticut Audubon Society sought to overhaul the visitor center and museum on site, and looked for qualified museum professionals who could work with them towards this revamped interpretive approach to birds and their habitats. ObjectIDEA worked with HER Design and Neal Mayer Design to complete a schematic design package for this new exhibit.
